Mouse dragging not working? Update first
The developer confirmed that controller input could interfere with mouse dragging and make some interactions difficult or impossible. Quickfix #1 changes input priority.
The official answer
This is the only release-wide fix currently confirmed by the developer. The page does not recommend deleting files or changing unrelated system settings.
- Let Steam finish updating Photomaly.
- Restart the game after the update.
- Retry the same drag using mouse and keyboard.
- The patched game should prioritize mouse and keyboard whenever they are being used.
Why a controller can matter
The official note says Steam Input, a connected controller or a virtual controller device could continue sending input while the mouse was used. That mixed input could disrupt dragging before the quickfix.
If it still happens
Send that context through the developer's official Steam Discussions or Discord route. A new workaround will not be published here until it is official or repeated by independent full-release players.
